Specialized 5 Axis Toolpath Generation... Flexible Toolpath Designed for 5-axis Machining.
With molds, you can machine them in many ways. With ESPRIT 5-Axis, you can machine them in the best way. ESPRIT 5-Axis support includes many routines for machining parts with short tools to optimize feedrates, reduce toolpath blending issues, and attack the part from all angles.

Impeller Machining... Automatically rough and finish cut impellers simply and easily...
ESPRIT 5-Axis has specific routines to rough and finish impellers. These complex surface geometries require specifically designed machining processes to easily and accurately produce high-quality finished parts.

Blade Machining... High speed roughing and finishing of difficult blade profiles...
ESPRIT offers unique roughing and finishing options to reduce cycle times from conventional software programs that are not 5-axis oriented specifically for blades.

5-Axis Composite Machining... A powerful and flexible toolpath for any surface combination.
ESPRIT 5-Axis offers the user the ability to CNC program any milling of hardened materials with undercuts or complex geometries in one simple step. The user is not limited to machining single surfaces at a time, or from specific work planes. Machine the whole part with the flexibility of one toolpath, or a specific multi-surface approach.

5-Axis Autotilt to Convert 3-Axis to 5-Axis... Need to cut with short tools?...
In many cases, the part can be cut with 3D toolpath types, but only with long tools. To avoid slowing down feedrates and reducing finish quality, the ability to kick the tool out into 5-Axis machining when a tool holder avoidance is necessary, is crucial to accurately machining with high-precision and high-feedrate.

Z-Level Machining... For roughing or finishing.
This cycle identifies near vertical and near horizontal areas and allows the operator to choose different cutting strategies for each area. Z-Level Machining offers both roughing and finishing options using one or two tools in a single cycle. It is an excellent cycle for HSM, providing very smooth, continuous tool path.

Rest Material Re-Machining... Automated milling of un-cut stock areas.
Re-machining of uncut areas of your part is automated through the Rest Material cycle. Select a cutter and ESPRIT will automatically remove all possible remaining material using any one of a number of cutting styles. Choose from Pencil Tracing, Lace Cutting, Parallel Flowline, and Spiral movements. This maximizes part quality and minimizes bench work.

- Rest Material and automatic re-machining of un-cut areas with pencil tracing, parallel flowline, or spiral cutting
- Automatically recognize un-roughed areas
- Multiple 5axis machining strategies including: pencil milling, contouring, regional, swarf/flank, and autotilt which will convert any 3axis toolpath into 5axis.

High Speed Machining... Built into every ESPRIT machining cycle.
Every ESPRIT machining cycle includes a number of HSM options to insure the creation of smooth, continuous movements while maintaining constant loads on the cutting tools. Whether it is high Speed Machining to cut hardened materials, minimize cycle times, or both, ESPRIT supplies the tools to get the results you need. Choose from sharp corner smoothing, loop style bridge movements, ramp and helical entry into material, spiral style cutting with constant overlaps, tangency entry, constant Z-Level cutting, and many more. Included within the Universal Post Processor is HSM optimization for NURBS and Spline curve G-code output. |
