ESPRIT CAM for Wire-EDM |
|
|
For 20 years ESPRIT CAM has partnered with the leading OEM builders of Wire EDM equipment to provide a "factory certified" CAM solution to the world's wire-EDM job shops. As a result, today more wire-EDM machines are programmed with ESPRIT than any other CAD CAM system and ESPRIT is endorsed by all the world's leading EDM machine builders (including Mitsubishi, AGIE, Sodick, Charmilles, etc.). A combination of strength in milling and turning with wire-EDM make ESPRIT a logical choice for any company looking to standardize with one CAM system to keep employees as productive as possible.

High Precision Advanced Geometry Solids / Surfaces... Wire cut any solid or geometry shape from any source.
ESPRIT CAD CAM software is designed for the high precision needs of the wire-EDM world, easily handling the complex, intricate solid models or geometry common to EDM. Import geometry from any CAD system or model your part inside ESPRIT using the integrated CAD module. Take advantage of ESPRIT flexibility and choose between Solids, NURBS Surfaces, and 2D/3D geometry to machine your part. While many legacy EDM parts are still drafted in 2D geometry, the power of Solid and Surface modeling means programming even the most complex aerospace, medical, or die/mold parts is a snap. Optional add-In components exist for the creation of specialized geometry such as form tool, gear, and CAM. |

Knowledge Based Machining... With global machining strategies to support unattended cutting!
ESPRIT Global Machining Strategies are industry specific methods for machining wire-EDM work pieces that are found in tool and die, mold making, production, and general parts machining. As an example, within the tool and die industry a work piece may be cut as a Night Die (rough machined) at night, with the slugs trimmed (cut off) in the morning, followed by the skim cutting (finish machining). This enables unattended cutting of the wire-EDM boosting profits by letting the machine cut while the operator sleeps. This Global Machining Strategy and many other strategies commonly used in production and general parts machining are all built-in as standard programming components in ESPRIT wire-EDM programming software. ESPRIT CAM has an extensive collection of global machining strategies that provide a quick and easy mechanism to generate highly efficient machining, especially important when you are cutting multiple work pieces and or work pieces that require multiple cuts (prog dies, etc.)
ESPRIT is also developed specifically for each brand of wire-EDM machine tool. Unlike milling, where differences in machines focus on table-travel and horsepower, EDM machines are all completely different, brand to brand. ESPRIT treats each of the OEM machines with care and precision, having developed machine-specific operation pages to handle each machine's specific functions. Each of these technologies also uses the language of that particular brand of machines, so your operator is not learning generic terms for their specific machine. |
