Micrometer
Sample videos and ESPRIT simulations for the Citizen Micrometer demonstration part assembly involving many different series of Citizen machines. The goal was to show ESPRIT support for front end programming, simulation and optimized NC code for 5 different machine types supported from one CAM software, ESPRIT. Photo of completed parts is to the right.
Thimble Part:
Run on A-series Citizen swiss lathe this part is used to reset the micrometer to zero and to open/close the micrometer to take the measurement.
Anvil Part:
Structural part as part of the micrometer assembly. This part was machined on a K-series Citizen swiss lathe as part of the demonstration.
Micrometer Frame:
This is the large frame of the micrometer used for measuring purposes. The part required many milling operations as well as off-axis chamfering-rounding of edges, etc.
